Craning In – May 7th 2021
Lockdown restrictions are set to ease sufficiently to permit activities such as craning in by the end of April. The DBSC raft team are hopeful that they can re-lay our moorings between the 1st and 5th of May and so our craning in date has now been scheduled as Friday the 7th of May.
The Corriemar Trophy race scheduled for the 8th of May will now take place on Sunday 9th May.
Obviously this may be changed at short notice if the pandemic refuses to cooperate!
All boats will be craned in on that date and boat owners must ensure their moorings are ready and have been inspected and replaced/overhauled. Strict Health and Safety procedures must be adhered to in order for craning in to take place and details will be circulated nearer the time.
Boat owners are once again required to produce a copy of their insurance certificate, either on the day or in advance by email before lifting can occur.
As I write this, Roy Marrian is supervising the restoration of the harbour floor and after the trots are inspected the P & H team can begin the task of allocating harbour moorings.
Any Bay moorings that are not judged safe or that are not clearly marked with the boat name on the buoy, will not be re – laid. If you have difficulty attending in person for any reason to sort your mooring please contact David Mann firstname.lastname@example.org and discuss a solution.
In the event that the DBSC raft is unable to attend as planned, a small ABC team will lay as many moorings as possible commencing on the 8th May. If required this will be done using the floatation barrels in the dinghy park.
